When you browse Instagram, what do you see?
Mainly images of the scenery in South Africa, right?
Unless you have watched the South Africa episode of Anthony Bourdain’s series, or follow a food travel blogger, how much do you really know about the cuisine?
This post is solely a tribute to the mighty delicious and inexpensive food.
If you read my South Africa Round Up Post, you will see how much I spent on food altogether. Nonetheless, it’s much better than what we spend eating out in America or any other popular country, right?
They take their food seriously, especially its appearance. While in Cape Town, my most visited spot was the V&A Waterfront where there were endless places to eat. While in Johannesburg, I often ate at Park Station. Once in Durban, I tried to make home cooked meals in my Airbnb as often as possible, but I did get to eat at Moyo located near UShaka Marine World Aquarium.
Without further ado, I give you mouth watering images of food!
As an added bonus, I tried to avoid caffeine as much as possible. Luckily South Africans drink more tea, however, I knew I still wanted something familiar. This little gem I found at Marshall's before I departed the U.S. to brew non-bagged tea on the go! It came quite in handy!
